Praying is a personal and heartfelt way to communicate with higher powers. There's no one right way to pray; it is a heart to heart communication. Being to being. Some pray to God, some pray to Jesus, some pray to Allah or Buddha, some pray to the Sun or to any other divinities. It does not matter: what matters is that we all pray. To another. To higher. To the one we don´t see, to the one we do not entirely understand. Forces of Nature. Spirit guides. The Universe. We ask for guidance, we ask for strength, and whatever we may need. We give Thanks.
My grand-mother was praying every day. As a child, I always thought she was sleeping, because when she was praying she was doing it with closed eyes. And it took a long time. But she was not sleeping; she was very present. In her body. Entirely there. In fact, she was closing her eyes to be able to use an intricate and very precise communication technology. If you looked closer you could guess the invisible antenna she had installed. Every day, she would talk for hours to the icone hanging on the green wall of her small kitchen.
Oh, this is such a gift in this moment. Thank you.
