We have all been wounded one way or the other, and the path of understanding our wounds as initiation is a long and difficult one, but a crucial one. Maybe one of the most important work we have to do while here, “in carne”, on earth. Yes, it is not easy. Yes, it is heavy. Yes, it is filled with desperation. I often hear -and I have said myself a lot in my life - « Why me ? » « Why again ? » « Why does it still hurt ? » « Why I am so unlucky ? »

All those questions, and the pain, is absolutely understandable and I don’t mean to deny it to dissolve it or to annihilate something that is so potent, so present in our lives. But the path of salvation once you start to walk it, I can assure you, is fuelled with mercy, magic, grace, openings, growth, grounding, so much sense and so much beauty.
It is a warrior’s path of courage and kindness, specially towards ourselves. It asks many times that we go against the grain of a world that, in so many ways, has lost touch with the sacred. On that road, we often need to connect with our ancestors and where we come from. On that road, we have to reconnect with the sense of sacredness, of something bigger than us, with a sense of surrender and devotion but also with the power that we are gaining through the initiatory path. All of the senses and practices that we have forgotten. All that that used to be us. Long before we even got our wounds.
Ancestral reconnection is not about becoming a trauma sponge for the unmetabolized pain of the last few centuries and beyond. Such a condition is actually the cultural default and facing the whole mess directly is more about wringing the troubles out from our bodies and personal space and getting the dead the healing they may still need to be in their fullness. To heed this call, it is essential that we honour our unique sensitivities and eccentricities and open to the possibility that even our deepest wounding may be filled with guidance, medecine, and meaning.
Will you walk the path ?
